Gaming & Mental Health
Wagwan Drillas and Drilletes. It has been a little while since we reviewed what we actually get up to and there are many new faces, so lets catch up. Firstly, this community is not exclusively for gamers. Over the last year we have gathered gamers and non gamers alike and that is perfectly fine. Quite often we talk about mental health and we actively fundraise for mental health charities like Movember and Mind. If you are over 18, you are welcome in the discord! Gaming - Of course, I am a gamer and that it what the vast majority of my content revolves around. Gaming works as a suitable distraction when we discuss serious topics and is just an all round fun outlet too! I stream regularly and have started to host custom game nights which get you, the community, involved.
Fundraising - As a streamer and a person, I want to raise money for charities that can make a difference for a cause we all share and often gets over looked, mental health. Every now and then I will do a charity stream which is well advertised in the Discord. I also donate a portion of each merch sales on the website to Movember. I will be honest, these streams are the only time I openly ask for gifts or donations. However, you are under no obligation to. I am free to watch and a free community to be part of! Changing Attitudes - At the base of everything we do together there is one over arching goal - Kindness. It is my mission to work with the community to change the attitudes of the gaming world one lobby at a time to be that little bit kinder to other people. After all, we do not know what the rest of the lobby is going through on the other side of that screen. It does not take much but is something that is absolutely needed. The community on discord is a wonderful one. Kindness costs nothing and I implore of you, PUSH FOR IT and lead by example! Transparency - I put gift goals up, I sell merch, I have a direct support page on here. I do this so that what we do can continue to grow and develop and reinvest a lot of the donations and gifts back into events, giveaways, the communities streams and for better tech on my end to continue upping the game for you all. I want to be really clear that whilst this is appreciated more than I can describe, if you want to just watch.... please do. Have a chat with the stream chat and me and lets get to know each other better!
